Q. How can I register with you?

You can register online or visit our office.

Q. How do I send you my resume?

As with candidate registration, we are happy to receive your resume either online or you can drop it in to our office.

Q. How do I apply for a position?

Email Mazden with your details or click on “Find Work” and follow the prompts.  Mazden are always looking for good staff, so we may even be able to find an opportunity for you with an existing host.

Q. Are there any costs I need to pay?

No.

Q. How does the recruitment process work?

  1. Upon receipt of your application, your previous experience and skills will be matched with any vacancies that we have at the time and/or your details will be on file for any future positions available.
  2. Once you have been interviewed by Mazden, you will be asked to supply current and contactable referees if they are not written on your resume.
  3. Mazden will contact you ASAP when any suitable work that is available.

Q. What is the pay week?

We pay weekly.

Any hours completed between Monday and Sunday will be paid the following week.

Q. When do I get paid?

Mazden electronically transfers the funds into your nominated account. You will receive your pay on Wednesday. Some banks show cleared funds earlier.

Q. How do timesheets work?

Different sites run different timesheets.

This will be explained to you prior to you starting your role. The different methods of timesheets are

  • Clock cards
  • Manual Paper based Timesheet
  • Clock on/Finger Scan system

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are completing the relevant timekeeping process.

If you do not fill in a timesheet, or forget to clock in or out, you must ensure that you notify your supervisor or Mazden that day.

Q. Do I get paid overtime or penalty rates?

You will always be paid in conjunction with the State, Federal or EBA applicable to the site that you are working on.

Upon accepting a job, your Mazden consultant will tell you the rate of pay with overtime and penalty rates.

Q. Do I get paid Superannuation?

Yes, all ordinary hours carry a 11.5% super payment in accordance with Fair Work Australia. You will be paid your hourly rate plus 11.5% super.

You are able to nominate your own superannuation fund, if you do not have your own superannuation fund, we will assist you to start one. We mostly use Australian Super but you can chose your own.

Q. Are all jobs temporary?

Most position commence as temporary.

On many sites there is the opportunity for more permanent or ongoing work. The onus is on you to prove yourself as reliable, hardworking and motivated.

The more positive attributes you display, the better your changes are of getting an ongoing and/or permanent role.
